Jeannie Edwards

Mary Jean “Jeannie” Edwards, 82 of Clay passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at her home in Clay. Jeannie was born in Boxville on April 23, 1943 to the late James and Mary Householder. She worked at Rayloc in Morganfield and was a member at Grace Baptist Church in Clay.  Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James “Buddy” Edwards in 1998 and a sister Judy Liggett.

Survivors include 3 daughters Doris Waggener(Jeff) of Clay, Vikki Edwards Harris of Clay, Sandra Edwards Hannah of Clay, 1 son Frankie Edwards(LeEtta) of Dixon, 1 brother Jimbo Householder of Tilden, 7 grandchildren Jamie Clark(DeWayne), Dusty Heady(Ron), Tyler Edwards(Jada), Jay Riley Edwards(Ashley), Logan Edwards(Lindsey), Joseph Hinton(Kim), Robin Tharp(Chris), several great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Vanover Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Brother Ronnie Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay. Visitation will be Monday, February 23, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Grace Baptist Church, 1110 West Elm, Clay, KY 42404. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
